Tulsa native Alan Madewell, AIA (yes, that's his real name!) has been practicing architecture for more years than he would like to admit. He brings his many years of experience and talent to bear on every project that comes into the office. Alan is proud to keep his team of architects and designers small, so that when you hire Alan Madewell and Associates or Madewell Interiors for your project, you actually get Alan Madewell. The firm works together to deliver whatever you may require for your project, from schematic design sketches, to paint and furniture selection, to complete construction documents.
Alan believes that everyone deserves good design and though his firm is known for larger home designs; remodeling, additions, smaller highly detailed home designs, as well as small to medium commercial designs are part of the firm expertise.
Alan's design inspirations come from the personality and lifestyle of the client, historic buildings, touring homes wherever he travels, and the building site and surroundings. He has a strong belief that a house needs to look as if it belongs in its location. His job is to give the client quality design that doesn't overpower the people that live in it. The highest compliment of his work is when the client's friends or family say that a house looks just like the client, not like Alan or one of his previous designs. Design styles vary depending on the clients input; sleek modern, more formal French or Georgian, the coziness of Country French, thatched-roofed English Cottage, or any style to fit the client's needs. But, whatever the design, it is indeed one "made well."
